Per cap Ascorbic acid 500 mg (equiv to Na ascorbate 562.43 mg), Zn 10 mg (equiv to Zn gluconate 70 mg). Per 5 mL syr Ascorbic acid 100 mg (equiv to Na ascorbate 112.49 mg), elemental Zn 10 mg (equiv to Zn gluconate 70 mg). Per mL oral drops Ascorbic acid 100 mg (equiv to Na ascorbate 112.49 mg), elemental Zn 4.2 mg (equiv to Zn gluconate 29.27 mg)
Indications/Uses
Treatment & prevention of vit C & Zn deficiencies.
Chronic administration equiv to 10 times recommended dietary allowance (RDA) can cause anemia due to concomitant Cu deficiency & may depress plasma HDL cholesterol levels. Do not take w/ tetracycline or ciprofloxacin (due to Zn content). Patients w/ hyperoxaluria. Cap: Na restricted diet.
